Sweet Home Alabama” was first released in 1974 and became a tune recognized and beloved by listeners all over the world regardless of whether they’ve ever been to Alabama (or could point it out on a map, for that matter). While the meanings to the song’s lyrics are often debated, even after all this time, no one can argue that anytime that now iconic opening guitar riff starts, music lovers fro...

I once got caught in a riptide at surfside beach in Texas. By the time i got back to the beach i was several miles down the coast. I never felt in danger even though i knew what was going on. It was at the beginning of.low tide so i got pulled out pretty far before i was able to break out of it. Then I was able to start riding swells back towards the beach. I had been caught in them.before so i was aware and just relaxed as much as i could. I was also a very strong swimmer so i knew once i no longer felt it pulling at me i would be able to get back to shore.

Dr. HARMON who I saw at UAB NEUROSURGERY for Cervical Spinal problems, apparently, only seems to care about patients with Extremely Critical Situational Conditions! DISCOUNTING the other Multiple PAINFUL and Debilitating conditions in my Cervical Spine, there is one area at my C2 Level Vertebrae that concerns me Overall. Dr. HARMON after examining my situation refused to do a procedure to remove a bone spur at my C2 Vertebrae which is Obviously, (MRI), pressing into the Spinal Canal Sheathing Fluid, which IS CAUSING EXTREME THINNING of the fluid next to my Spinal Canal. His excuse is, he doesn't feel ANY Surgery would help relieve ANY of the MULTIPLE PAINFUL conditions I am SUFFERING from related to my Cervical Vertebrae. However, my greatest concern, was and is, this C2 Bone Spur problem. He said to me concerning this problem that, "IT'S NOT CRITICAL ENOUGH, YET" to warrant surgery!!! Well, My honest opinion is, why wait until it gets Critical!!! It's called PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE! AT LEAST by Removing the Bone Spur the Spinal Fluid would be returned to a more Thickened and Normal state. It probably would have taken less than thirty minutes to an hour of surgery to debride the bone spur!! Here is were it gets really interesting. I did not pick Dr. HARMON myself just out of the blue, nor did I make the appointment to see him. THREE OTHER DOCTORS recommended I have Cervical Surgery and two recommended I go to UAB and get SURGERY there. One is an Emergency Room Doctor who upon examining a MRI of me informed me I had a serious problem in my Cervical Spine and recommended I go see a Specialist doctor at THE ANDREWS INSTITUTE, which is a well known PREMIER ORTHOPEDIC SPORTS MEDICINE CLINIC in my area. They Mainly treat Only PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES from All Professional Sports, from all over the USA! I went to THE ANDREWS INSTITUTE and the Doctor I saw there said I needed to go to UAB because he felt my condition warranted BETTER SURGICAL METHODS than what they were capable of!!! Wow, imagine my Surprise and new ANXIETY after that visit!!! I then had ANOTHER MRI done by my PRIMARY Doctor who had to have one done AGAIN and reviewed, in order that he could justify a referral to UAB. After he reviewed this new MRI, he too informed me that I was approved by the Clinic he practices at and they also approved what the other doctors recommended that I indeed needed to go to a Clinic such as UAB for Cervical Surgery! ALL THREE of these Doctors felt I needed to go to UAB because in thier PROFESSIONAL opinions UAB offers the Best Technologically ADVANCED Surgical Instrumentation (robotics, etc.), and the Best Surgically ADVANCED "Superior" METHODS more than any of what the doctors or clinics in my area of living can offer!! SO, an appointment was made FOR me at UAB NEUROSURGERY and I went to UAB! I had to spend money on a HOTEL (9am appointment), GAS, FOOD and other TRAVEL EXPENSES! Now, Imagine my Surprise and Shock when at my appointment at UAB with Dr. HARMON he tells me my condition is not Serious Enough to warrant ANY Surgery!!! This is TOTALLY OPPOSITE of what THREE previous Doctors Recommended after examining me and Reviewing the MRI's and informing me I NEEDED CERVICAL SURGERY!!!! My visit to UAB NEUROSURGERY with Dr. HARMON was a Total Waste of Time, a Major Disappointment, and to say the least, very CONFUSING and UPSETTING!! It has also CREATED even more ANXIETY!! NOT TO MENTION, I HAD TO WAIT MONTHS and MONTHS and MONTHS UNTIL THE APPOINTMENT! DR. HARMON could have just called me on the phone and discussed his Opinion if my condition was was so UNIMPORTANT, and not as CRITICAL as HE NEEDED in justifying HIS REQUIREMENTS for surgery! After all, my Medical records and the MRI had already been forwarded to UAB LONG before my arrival! It takes about 6 -7 hours of driving one way to get to UAB from my home. After experiencing this Visit to UAB and Reflecting on everything, my GUT FEELING is I am also experiencing AGE DISCRIMINATION, because I am 67 years YOUNG!! Dr. HARMON said several times, ("IF YOU WERE YOUNGER"), it might be something he would do !!!!!!! Another GUT feeling I also have is there must be more to this. Like maybe he has a huge work load he doesn't want to admit to and only wants to take care of the Most Critical Cases he sees! Anyone who looks at my MRI will SEE exactly my concern of the C2 Vertebrae and what I am talking about. Even a child can see something isn't right!! If he Only did the C2 area Surgery, (most concerning), I don't think it would have taken very long in smoothing out the Bone Spur causing its problem. At least this Bone Spur pressing on the Spinal Sheathing Fluid next to the Spinal Canal would BE GONE, allowing the fluid sheathing to returned to a more thicker normal state around the spinal canal. It is pressing the sheathing fluid so near the spinal canal that the space between the fluid and the spinal canal is less than a HAIR in width or almost no space at all in its width!!!!! So, I guess NOW, I am SUPPOSED to just wait untill my condition gets even worse and it actually gets LIFE THREATENINGLY CRITICAL, and/or, something Penetrates INTO the SPINAL CANAL possibly causing PARALYSIS or Even DEATH!!!! WHAT KIND OF PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE IS THIS ???? IS THIS MEDICAL POLITICS, or something else?? Whatever is REALLY going on and whatever is the REAL reasoning behind his decision to do NOTHING, is a question I cannot answer, AT THIS TIME! I DEEPLY feel though, something is definitely not RIGHT! ESPECIALLY since THREE other DOCTORS Considered my condition to be SERIOUS enough to warrant SURGERY, and recommending UAB as their place of choice for me to have Cervical Surgery!!!! Dr. HARMON HAS NO REAL UNDERSTANDING of HOW MUCH CERVICAL PAIN and SUFFERING I ENDURE DAILY!!! You know, GOD puts intuition in my thoughts, ALWAYS guiding me and telling me when something isn't right or good! GOD has NEVER, in my Life, been wrong, EVER!! When he puts thoughts and feelings in my head and wants to send me a message, I KNOW it Is GOD WARNING me about something. Many times I do not know what exactly the warning is about other than it is a bad feeling about someone or something! Sometimes it is clear to me at the moment what it concerns and sometimes I find out later what it was about. Those feelings and thoughts right now are Extremely Heavy about this WHOLE EXPERIENCE with Dr. HARMON and UAB, and these thoughts and feelings RIGHT NOW are what I call, 100% BAD VIBES!!!!!!! GOD IS NEVER WRONG!!!

Cape Cod used to have the best cheddar jalapeno chips. The cheese flavor was nice, the jalapeno was right on the edge of being too hot. They weren't covered with flavor dust like some jalapeno chips are. They got rid of them and replaced them with sweet jalapeno and I was so disappointed.

Dollar General is why you are broke. They sell you the idea of cheap products which cost double or more per item. Example you can buy Dollar General brand toilet paper for 1 dollar ( prices have likely changed, since I do not buy toilet paper I have no clue what the cost is. ) for 4 rolls. Dirt cheap and might last a single person a month if they are careful. Yet you can buy a case of toilet paper of 96 rolls for 50 dollars a case. Each roll has 1000 sheets on it and the Dollar General roll has 250 sheets on it or 1000 sheets per dollar. Dollar general cost 96 dollars for 96,000 sheets and bulk is 50 dollars. Half price. This is how dollar general makes money. They sell you small packages at what appears to be cheap prices so that you can afford to get by for the month. Yet if you invest in 96 rolls and you use one a week you got almost enough for 2 yearsr. Yet the problem is you do not have the money to drop 50 dollars on things like that. See I have no clue what the going rate of toilet paper or anything like that because I buy in bulk for 10 to 20 plus years at a time. I invest in my future. In the end I have saved my self a large amount of money.

"I don't taste a lot of dill pickle on it". That's the key - a little, teeny tiny bit of dill goes a long way. I just got some "spicy dill pickle' peanuts that are inedible, and while I hate to admit sacrilege I like Moxie (delivered in the dead of night in a brown paper bag), just to prove strong flavor is not an inherent obstacle. No spicy. No pickle - they didn't ever whisper vinegar to these peanuts. Just DILL, dill to the tenth power. That night I dreamed I....no too gruesome, I'll spare you. Now a properly fried dill pickle is a joy, but these damn Yankees and their lack of understanding how spices work.....bless their hearts.

What if the forest wasn't in the Gulf originally, what if that was a large segment of ground that was washed into the Gulf? That would explain the buried trees as well as the large segment where they could see the river bed. I do find it hard to believe that sedamentation hasn't buried it if it's that old. 12-14K seems to be reasonable, 50K, how would it not be buried?
